TPE (Therapeutic Plasma Exchange) is a medical procedure used to remove certain antibodies, toxins, and other pathological substances from the blood circulation of patients with immune diseases, drug overdoses, and/or poisoning.

A catheter is inserted into the patient, and their blood is passed through a filter. The filter separates out the plasma. Once it is removed, new plasma is returned to the patient
